Avoid excess sun, tanning, waxing, aggressive exfoliation, and elective procedures near the area for one to two weeks. Unless directed otherwise, pause retinoids and exfoliating acids three to five days before and arrive with clean skin.
For the first 24 hours, avoid makeup, heat, strenuous exercise, and direct sun. For several days use gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF 30+, and avoid retinoids, acids, scrubs, and picking until fully healed.
